Computer scientist for OpenStack development and administration for bwCloud OS (m/f/d)

In the University IT, a full-time job is at the earliest possible date than OpenStack Development and Administration for bwCloud OS (m/w/d) to occupy. The bwCloud OS is an established national service since 2018, which serves the needs of researchers, teachers and infrastructure providers to interactive, performant, resourceful “infrastructure as a service” services. The bwCloud 3 project aims to integrate the bwCloud OS in the context of scientific work in the long term and to offer further support to interested users and projects. For this project we are looking for support in the field of development and system administration. You develop, operate and expand our OpenStack environment with tools such as ColdFront, Django and Python. You design and develop our network and storage infrastructure as well as the virtualization environment. You introduce a test and integration environment that updates OpenStack components. You advise and support researchers and teachers in scientific computing and in the use of cloud services in teaching.

Graduate/Master with strong reference to computer science Experience in web development with Python and Django Experience in Linux administration, especially in server virtualization, ideally knowledge of OpenStack Negotiating communication skills in German and English
