We are looking for the Office for Environmental Protection of the Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart. The place shall be occupied without delay.

The Energy Department of the Office for Environmental Protection is technically responsible and coordinates the implementation of the energy and climate protection concept adopted by the municipal council with the aim of making the state capital of Stuttgart climate-neutral as soon as possible. The electricity supply of the approximately 1,300 urban properties is to be converted to renewable self-sufficiency and the safety and economic efficiency of the energy and water supply.

They examine the legal regulations for energy saving (e.g. EnSimiMaV, GEG etc.) with regard to the applicability to urban properties Your tasks include the design, development, enforcement and monitoring of the implementation of the saving measures in urban buildings You request funding for energy recovery measures in urban buildings They support the allocation and control of ongoing procurement of biogenetic gas for urban properties They update and develop disaster protection plans to ensure gas and district heating infrastructure in close cooperation with the lower disaster protection authority They work with national and international research projects

Engineering/in with scientific university studies (Master or Diploma) in the fields of economic engineering, electrical, energy, building or environmental engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering or related courses (for foreign degrees, the submission of a state recognition in Germany is required) well-founded expertise in the fields of energy markets and energy technology the ability to work quickly and independently in complex tasks and processes high willingness to represent and enforce concepts both internally and externally as well as to successfully implement targeted measures; are characterized by a safe and communication-strong appearance very good written and oral expression in German as well as good knowledge of common IT applications
