Editorial Trainees (m/f/d)

You complete a two-year cross-media training in the editors of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagzeitung. In addition to extensive knowledge of the processes during a daily and a weekly newspaper, our online editor provides insights into the dynamics and peculiarities of a 24/7 operation. In two-month stations in all classic departments, you will learn the craftsmanship for responsible journalism and have the opportunity to prove your skills directly. You work on multifaceted topics, from research to publication, and can develop in a targeted way through continuous feedback. Additional courses deepen your journalistic know-how and prepare for a journalistic future. After two years of training, you have the expertise to work as an editor (m/w/d) with a quality medium.

Your heart beats for quality journalism and you are looking for entry into editorial work to introduce and develop your skills in this important area. Ideally, you have a successfully completed study, first journalistic knowledge and a very good feeling for language and storytelling. Digital media forms – be it text, image, audio or video – inspire you, and in social media as well as vertical storytelling you see more than pure self-interest. You are eager to know, possess excellent general education and bring a strong interest in the current time and joy of teamwork.

Your application documents should contain letters, CV, certificates, in particular about your school and degree, and ideally a maximum of five journalistic work samples.
