The Mercedes-Benz Cars Purchasing & Supplier Quality (MP) division is responsible for purchasing production material and supplier quality for Mercedes-Benz AG with an annual purchase volume in the double-digit billion range. The MP/BC2 team is responsible for a multi-layered range of tasks with the areas of cooperation, procurement and committee management as well as theoretical awards. As part of your student work, you are a full member of our team from the outset and work together with us in the field of theoretical awards. Your tasks include in detail: Accompanying, supporting and consulting the purchasing divisions in the application of microeconomics and game theory in award projects Optimisation of purchasing results and competitive intensification by a common definition of case-specific negotiation mechanisms based on auctions- & playsheoretical principles Participation in transnational workshops (with different disciplines such as purchasing, development, quality, logistics) to ensure comparability of different suppliers and their offers Building and developing appropriate IT-based tools for the evaluation and analysis of supplier offers Participation in the acquisition-wide implementation of (play-theoretical) methods competence for procurement and negotiation designs Support in the preparation of training documents as well as in the execution of trainings for purchasing staff to apply game theory in procurement and negotiation situations You can expect from us: We integrate you from day one as a full-fledged member in a young and dynamic team Throughout the time, you will have fixed contact persons, which give you the necessary support and regular feedback. Degree in Economics, Engineering, Psychology, Natural Sciences or a comparable degree programme Knowledge in game theory, behavioral economics and/or other areas of microeconomics are desirable Safe handling of MS Office Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Analytical thinking Commitment and team skills Communication capability and presentation capability Additional information: Of course, without formalities, we are not.
