IT Infrastructure Manager with focus on mainframe (full-time or part-time)

We are looking for an experienced IT infrastructure manager* with a strong focus on managing our mainframe infrastructure. Your task will be to ensure the integration and optimization of the mainframe systems. The range of activities extends from the technology-oriented planning and implementation of changes in infrastructure to support the analysis and sustainable solution of disruptions. Site Reliability Engineering should shape the claim of your action. Your core tasks include: Analysis of system performance and identification of improvement areas to optimize mainframe performance Identification and mitigation of risks within the mainframe environment, including monitoring of security policies (RACF) and compliance requirements Creation and maintenance of technical documentation to ensure smooth operation in the team Cooperation with service providers and internal experts to diagnose and solve problems that occur in the mainframe environment Communication with internal and external stakeholders, including the IT department, to understand requirements and to offer solutions Security topics for the mainframe (e.g. Pentest Management, IT Risk Management, IT Assessment)

We look forward to your support in our team if you bring: Complete study of (economic) informatics or a well-established IT training with additional qualification Funded knowledge in Mainframe technologies (CICSE, DB2, RACF, Job Control and Connect:Direct) Knowledge of communication protocols (TCP/IP, SNA) and backup and disaster recovery strategies Experience with monitoring and performance management tools (e.g. Tivoli Enterprise Portal, OMEGAMON) and knowledge in batch processing (IBM Z Workload Scheduler, Job Control Language) as well as in script languages (e.g. REXX) Experiences with data access from decentralized systems to the mainframe (DB2 DDF, Java stored procedures) A working method characterized by partnership, appreciation and enthusiasm and team spirit We also welcome diverse educational backgrounds and work experiences.
