The Federal Office for Migration and Refugees intends to further expand the path of a digital authority. The implementation of the current digitalization agenda enables the Federal Office to carry out its statutory tasks in a crisis-proof manner even within the framework of constantly changing factors of influence. In the development of IT applications, BAMF focuses on agile software development and the cloud strategy on establishing a containerized cloud platform.

Unit 21F is responsible for the design and strategic management of the four digitization projects “special administrative mailbox” (BPo), “Digitalization of file management” (DigA), “Secured external communication” (GeKo) and “Central inbox” (ZPE). The four projects play an important role as part of the BAMF's digitalization agenda.

Your tasks

• In your role as a speaker or speaker in Unit 21F, you take on conceptual tasks and coordination tasks to support the Head of Unit in the areas of “Digitalization of the File Management” and “Central Inbox”
• In this context you are responsible for strategic project management tasks, quality assurance and performance control
• In addition, you will take over the consultation of specialist areas with regard to technical implementation of requirements, accompany the introduction and operation of applications and the coordination with the ITZ-Bund.
• Representation of the Head of Unit at relevant dates is one of your tasks as well as cross-border activities: the writing of templates and internal letters for the BAMF-internal communication, cooperation in the implementation of procurement processes, further development of the processes for project management and software development, coordination with external service providers

Your profile

• You have a completed university degree at master level with a focus on information technology (e.g. computer science, business informatics or comparable scientific university degree with information technology)
• You can apply if you complete your studies within the next three months. The final certificate shall be submitted upon notification
• Knowledge in the field of process digitization, in particular in electronic communication and digital file keeping, as well as in the field of project management (e.g. SCRUM, V-model XT) are advantageous
• Also desirable are knowledge of IT architecture, such as micro service architectures and cloud technologies
