You learn with this training, what matters in our community: You work in the press, culture and archives department of the county administration Gütersloh – in the team and on your own projects. That's what you're traveling across the county area. You will also gain experience through two- to four-week internships with external partners, e.g. in various media companies or at the Academy of Public Studies. You carry out independent tasks in internal and external communication, press work and public relations. You are writing press releases, statements, briefings and contributions for various channels, writing speeches and greetings and editing texts. You're puggling with the Intranet and social media channels and creating content incl. Image and video bases. You photograph and rotate videos for different publications. At the Academy for Public Studies in Hamburg you will learn basic techniques in a four-week Volokurs Print/Online. In numerous further training modules, topics such as “Write Reden”, social media videos or AI usage are concerned.

This attitude makes you – and we are strong together: You have proven your interest in press and public relations – e.g. through internships or free cooperation in the media sector and press and public relations. You are committed, you like to work in the team and take responsibility. You bring a very good linguistic expressiveness – surely in writing and speaking. You know well with office programs – ideally also with content management systems. You have a passenger ticket – for external appointments and operations on site. You are well suited for this training when you bring heart and a completed university degree. It does not have to be a matter of communication, media science or journalism. We also had excellent volunteers who, for example, studied English or brought the Bachelor of Laws.
