The subject area GI2 “Public Health Microbiology” is looking for a first time in Oberschleißheim

Medical-Technical Assistant (m/w/d) (MTA) / Medical-Technical Assistant (m/w/d) for Veterinary Medicine (MTA-V) 2575 Versatile tasks that you challenge

• Conducting microbiological studies in the human virology laboratory (with a focus on infection serological and molecular diagnostic methods), mycobacteriology and molecular infection diagnosis
• Working in preanalytics
• Acceptance and documentation of sample material
• Processing of different sample materials
• Technical validation and logging of results in the IT systems
• Working with various nucleic acid extraction, PCR, NGS and infection serological methods and devices
• Operation of laboratory robots, analytical lines and complex laboratory machines
• Participation in infection epidemiological studies
• Working on quality assurance in the laboratory
• Participation in finding
• Telephone communication and consultation with the senders

A CV that convinces us

• Successfully completed training as medical-technical assistant (m/w/d) (MTA) / medical-technical assistant (m/w/d) for veterinary medicine (MTA-V)
• Current knowledge of infectious and molecular biological methods
• Experience in automated laboratory procedures
• Resonance and circumspection, even with high sample volume
• A high level of initiative and flexibility
• Team skills, independent work and high reliability
• Interest in scientific and methodological questions
• Joy in the introduction of new laboratory methods
• Good organizational capacity
• EDV experience as well as good knowledge in handling Microsoft Excel and Word
• Comprehensive German knowledge (at least language level B2 to GER)

Employment ratio / assessment

The employment is first effected by means of a fixed-term employment relationship of up to two years. Unlimited employment is targeted at probation. The remuneration depends on the regulations of the TV-L. The intended grouping is carried out according to the qualification and personal requirements in Group E 8.
