Study Nurse (m/w/d)

“Research for a life without cancer” – this is our task at the German Cancer Research Center. We investigate how cancer is created, identify cancer risk factors and look for new strategies that prevent people from suffering from cancer. We develop new methods that allow tumours to be diagnosed more precisely and cancer patients to be treated more successfully. Every contribution counts – whether in research, administration or infrastructure. This makes our daily work so meaningful and exciting. As part of the “DKFZ-Hector Krebsinstitut an der Universitätsmedizin Mannheim” (DKFZ-Hector Krebsinstitut an der Universitätsmedizin Mannheim) we are looking for a Study Nurse (m/w/d). Reference number: 2025-0160 The DKFZ-Hector Krebsinstitut was founded as a partnership between the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), the University Hospital Mannheim and the Medical Faculty Mannheim of Heidelberg University with generous support from the Hector Foundation II.

One aim of the DKFZ-Hector Krebsinstitut at the University Medicine Mannheim is to improve personalized oncology, i.e. the therapy tailored to the individual patient. In particular, innovative research results are to be quickly brought into clinical application in the form of clinical studies. The institute is headed by Prof. Dr. Sonja Loges.

We are a multidisciplinary team of nurses, documentation assistant:inside, Study Nurses, doctor:inside and looking for support in the form of a Study Nurse. We look forward to motivated candidates: intensifying our team. Experiences as a care force and/or MFA are desirable. Empathy in the treatment and care of oncological patients: we presuppose.

Blood withdrawals in clinical trials and in the study ambulance Sample processing of clinical sample material Organisation and monitoring of treatment processes and study protocols (e.g. scheduling, registration and planning of diagnostic studies etc.) Participation in screening and inclusion of students: Intensive care and counselling for patients: during the study participation Data collection and study documentation in German and English Preparation and implementation of monitor visits, audits and, where appropriate, Inspections Separate implementation of treatment care measures (e.g. blood pressure measurement, administration of infusions incl. chemotherapy under medical supervision etc.) Also welcome cooperation and critical review in the preparation of future study protocols Structural cooperation in the study centre

Completed training on medical specialists, health and nursing staff:in; Learning Nurse is desirable Interest in improving treatment options for tumour patients: Team skills, contact skills and organizational talent, self-initiative and the ability to work independently Very good computer skills Experience in the management of previous oncological studies according to the law of medicine and experience with the common documentation systems Good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
