Project Manager Building Construction in the Port of Hamburg

The Technical Division (TD) is responsible for the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of the core harbour infrastructure with a total of around 600 employees. At the TD project office, we plan and build new infrastructure projects in the port on behalf of the other HPA units. In project teams, interesting projects such as the restructuring and modernization of port areas, structural structures such as bridges and quay walls, earth construction and road construction, as well as railway construction are being processed by our engineers of various disciplines. As part of the company's digitalization strategy, we are currently engaged in preparing the integration of BIM methodology into building project management. In addition, buildings are planned in many projects or project management tasks for buildings are taken over directly by the Hochbau unit.

Our heart beats for the Port of Hamburg, which connects us! You are responsible for a project-related budget for construction projects, set up cost and budget documents and participate in regular controlling events. You represent the measures against other departments, departments of the city of Hamburg and public institutions. The management of external service providers, e.g. planners, reviewers and consultants, as well as the initiation, planning, implementation and completion of the construction projects – from the first project idea to the cost determination. You also initiate the public procurement procedures for the required planning and construction services. You develop the construction program with the internal contractors, address the user needs analysis, define the performance, cost and appointment specifications and coordinate and monitor their compliance. You are responsible for obtaining design and execution permits. You are involved in regular information and coordination rounds with the client*in and the technical division's lines and report on project developments.

You have a completed degree (Bachelor/FH) in the field of architecture or equivalent knowledge and skills. You have at least five years of professional experience in the planning and execution of buildings as well as interdisciplinary control of project-side construction projects. You already have good knowledge of AHO and HOAI, as well as the procurement and construction law and the relevant administrative regulations. You are familiar with the safe handling of the common software CAD, Orca AVA. You have a conceptual, economic and targeted way of working, communicating and customer-oriented. Team skills and willingness to interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary cooperation are of course for you. You have very good knowledge of relevant project management methods (IPMA or comparable).
