The surgical department of the St. Irmgardis Hospital Süchteln has a total of 49 flatbeds. The subareas of general and accident surgery are represented by two chief physicians cooperating in the team doctor model. The area of hand, plastic and aesthetic surgery is represented by a department chief. We offer the full range of plastic and aesthetic surgery (except for the supply of heavy burn injured, no replantation center). There is a 18-month training authority for the additional name hand surgery as well as 36 months for plastic and aesthetic surgery. For more than 20 years, hand surgery has been a nationally significant reputation, as it includes the entire spectrum of hand surgery. offers wrist arthroscopes, carpus surgery and endoprosthetics. The department is still authorised for the DGUV’s injured type (VAV-hand). In addition, the department was once again admitted to the service group of plastic surgery as part of hospital planning. Another pillar of the clinic is skin tumor surgery with all forms of local defect coverage. In close cooperation with the Geriatry of the House, the interdisciplinary therapy of chronic wounds and decubital ulcers is offered. The post-bariatric surgery with all forms of tightening operations as well as interventions on the chest are also an integral part of our OP program.
