The police office deployment, logistics and technology (PP ELT) is “DER” service provider of the police Rheinland-Pfalz. The expertise and competence of the seven divisions of the PP ELT include the specific operational support at national and federal level (professional police and special units) as well as the operational competence on the naval waterways of the country (water protection police). The tasks of procurement, technology and health management are carried out in national responsibility for all police authorities and for other authorities and organisations with a safety mandate from the Rhineland-Palatinate. In addition, the management of the staff and the budget as well as the premises of the Bureau are included. Locations of the Bureau are located throughout the federal state. Accommodations in Mainz, Enkenbach-Alsenborn, Koblenz and Wittlich-Wengerohr are supplemented by a total of seven water protection police stations and external offices as well as the location of the police helicopters in Winningen. The start of the PP ELT operation is 2017; the number of employees is about 1,850 persons. Place of service: Mainz The core areas of the tasks in the ZLI 3 field are, in addition to the design and the associated realignment of existing systems, also the procurement, realization and operation including level 3 support. Together with employees from different authorities and companies, the implementation is implemented and primarily supervised by the specialist concepts. The steady supply of approximately 14,000 employees of the Rheinland-Pfalz police with IT hardware and IT software is the basis for the workability of our staff. To this end, with the participation of the LDI (Landesbetrieb Daten und Information) framework agreements are issued, from which the products are purchased. We understand ourselves as a service provider for our approx. 130 police operations and work very well with the individual authorities and in particular with their local IT experts. In order to be able to assess the professional requirements of the police and the technical possibilities of the IT hardware and software to be obtained, technical expertise is necessary. Requirements profile: Complete study of computer science, communication technology or a comparable subject or relevant training (e.g. specialist in system integration) accompanied by skills and experience through long-term relevant professional activities Comprehensive and deepened expertise in Active-Directory and Group Policy (GPO), including planning, structuring and further development of policy concepts Ability to design group guidelines in an independent way, taking into account IT security, data protection and organisational requirements Self-analysis of complex technical and technical requirements and deriving appropriate technical solutions In-depth knowledge in the field of IT security, in particular client hardening, policy protection and vulnerability assessment Responsibility for the evaluation, approval and introduction of software including definition of acceptance criteria and implementation of software removal Ready-to-use training High problem-solving and decision-making competence in non-standard issues Experience in the independent cooperation or management of IT projects Impressed communication capability for comprehensible communication of complex technical issues to non-technical target groups German knowledge at least on C1 level Further advantages are: Ability to assess the impact of new or amended group policies on specialist procedures, work processes and IT security Good knowledge of PowerShell or comparable script languages for the automation and standardization of administration processes Experience with software distribution systems and modern client management solutions Where the designated body is a so-called ‘safety-sensitive activity’, the final transfer of this body is dependent on the successful and knowledge-free completed safety review under the LSÜG (Landessicherheitsprüfungsgesetz).
