Kita Regenbogenland is a reggio-inspired workshop house for 50 elementary and 20 crib children with a special focus on aesthetic and social-emotional education. Between 7:30 and 3:00 p.m., in addition to fixed offers and projects for dance and music, the training of social competences of preschool children and targeted language training units, specialists create a lot of space for the individual educational processes carried by the children in the generous studio, the work and construction area in the outdoor area, the book world with writing workshop and the theatre and role playing workshop. In doing so, we work closely with the sister facility Kita Wunderwelt in Osterholz-Scharmbeck and network us in particular in the area of content development via working groups.

Your tasks: You will ensure the participation and protection of children in all matters. In close consultation with the direct colleagues and the overall team, you will accompany our children between three and six years in their development and work together with the families in an educational partnership. You plan and organize the educational processes in the group as well as the implementation of various projects. Together with your colleagues in the large elementary team, you develop the implementation of the workshop concept oriented to the Reggio pedagogy. You will be supported by a process management, as well as by targeted further training. With an innovative, participative reconciliation model, you’re looking for a good arrival of children in our house. Child protection forms the basis of your work and is a responsibility you take with team, leadership and support. You can create a professional relationship between proximity and distance.

You have a degree as a state-approved educator*in or a comparable qualification. You are motivated and have a lot of pleasure in working in a developing team and the willingness to conceive a young institution as a workshop kita. The educational everyday life with children in the elementary area is based on resources and needs and places great emphasis on participation and child rights. You put a prejudice-free attitude in encounter with people for different cultural or social backgrounds. The affectionate contact at eye level and the living protection of children are your heart.
