Senior Network & Security Engineer (m/w/d)

The IT & Mediencentrum (ITMC) in the DataNet team must be replaced at the earliest possible time. The activity will be remunerated by 13 TV-L. It is a full-time job. Employment in or reduction to parttime is possible in principle.

The DataNet team at TU Dortmund's ITMC is responsible for the safe and performant operation of the university data network and is actively promoting its technical development. We design, implement and maintain central network services that reliably connect research, teaching and administration.

To expand our team, we are looking for an experienced specialist with a focus on network security that wants to contribute its expertise in architecture, automation and operation of complex network infrastructures – in an environment that combines technical quality with responsibility for research, teaching and society. further development of the data network structures of the TU Dortmund Development and implementation of concepts for automation of network processes Selection, installation, configuration, further development and maintenance of the central hard and software components of the campus network Development, provision and maintenance of monitoring and operational security solutions to ensure stability and transparency in network operation Responsibility for the safe operation of the firewall infrastructure as well as advice and implementation of network security measures Participation in the framework of readiness to ensure reliable IT operation

a completed university degree in the field of computer science or a related subject with at least three years of practical experience
