The “Department of Outpatient Services” in the Revenue Management division bundles all settlements for outpatient services provided in the 43 clinics/specialist departments and five institutes of the Heidelberg University Hospital. Accounting areas are all relevant legal authorisation areas, private patients, self-payers and other cost-beneficiaries, as well as external clients/clinics. Priority objectives are high billing quality, complete and timely billing. The department prepares the digital performance documentation in terms of content and prepares appropriate reports for control purposes according to accounting areas. The department regularly evaluates the status in all accounting areas for the monthly financial statements. The department currently has more than 30 employees and is divided into four subjects.

This place is a succession and will be carried out for the duration of incorporation as a deputy department manager with the E13 TV-UK grouping. With the takeover of the line position as of 01.09.2026, the grouping takes place in the E14 TV-UK level. You are responsible for the professional operation of the outpatient settlement for all clinics and institutes, for all settlement areas according to the departmental objectives You develop appropriate accounting processes from legal and contractual requirements and control the accounting processes and develop organisation and processes You advise the clinic lines and contact persons in the clinics for optimal billing possibilities of (new) services and the conditions for complete performance documentation You are competent contact persons for colleagues from other commercial business areas and the managing directors of the departments / centers (in the sense of professional interface management) You take care of a professional reporting system and are responsible for creating monthly accounts in the outpatient revenue areas You conduct the employees through the departmental organization, together with the property management, You plan an economic and efficient personnel deployment and You take care of personnel development You support the management of the business unit in preparing and supporting contracts for outpatient services and prepare them for technical accounting

You have a Master's degree in BWL, Hospital-BWL, Health Management You have several years of professional experience in hospital administration, at best in the areas of outpatient and stationary billing, medical controlling. Thinking in clinical-administrative procedures is possible for you You have well-founded professional knowledge in the performance law of statutory health insurance and other performance laws, statutory and contractual billing rates (EBM, GOÄ, GOZ, UV-GOÄ, DKG-NT etc.) You have conceptual skills and can organize tasks (and manageable projects) efficiently and effectively You are “IT-affin” and can describe commercial processes in terms of content in such a way that You can be translated into DV technical requirements/tasks (including the preparation and introduction of a new hospital information system) You have management experience of larger organizational units Colleagues of your department are performance-oriented and safe, balanced and sensitive – you are a team player across departments You can set priorities, structure your working time earnings-oriented to deliver high quality results
