Innovation Managers in the Research Lab ''Secure Software Defined Defence'' – Focus on Operations

In this position, as part of the team at the new FKIE site in Leipzig and in the project offices in Saxony, you support the operational implementation of innovation projects. As a driving force at the interface between science, industry and security authorities, you control the cooperation of the stakeholders involved and effectively advance projects. In project and transfer management, you control innovation projects from the first idea to the prototype phase to the concrete technology transfer into practice, e.g. to the Bundeswehr, to blue light organisations or to industrial and economic partners. Internal processes for finding ideas, evaluating and implementing research innovations are established, maintained and continuously optimized by you. In addition, design and moderate operational innovation workshops, hackathons and design-thinking sessions for researchers. Your task will be rounded off by operational support in identifying and applying for national and international innovation support programmes.

Successfully completed academic studies (Diplom or Master) in economic engineering, innovation management, business informatics, business management or comparable degree Founded professional experience in innovation or project management, ideally in a technology-driven environment such as start-ups, research institutions or in security or safety. Defence Communication strength, moderation competency, enforcement ability and safe occurrence to different stakeholders Safe handling of MS Office, AI tools and modern collaboration and information systems German and English knowledge in word and writing Last but not least, you bring with you a pronounced hands-on mentality as well as interest in safety-relevant issues and are able to quickly capture complex technological relationships and translate them into implementation.
