In your role, you control complex, cross-functional high-tech projects focusing on international technology development in the field of operations, focusing on precision optics (production, supply chain, quality, logistics) and combining technical understanding, structured project management and operational excellence. Its central tasks include: Control of complex improvement projects in the field of assembly and production

Definition of requirements, scope, objectives, business case, milestones, resource needs, risks and success criteria

Optimization of production flows, throughput, yield, availability and throughput times

Presentation of workshops and reviews with stakeholders from shopfloor to management

Translation of operations priorities in roadmaps, responsibilities, schedules and governance

Early risk identification and pragmatic countermeasures

Integration of cross-functional experts and interfaces

Higher education in engineering, physics, optics, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or comparable

relevant experience in the field of high-tech/precision technology with focus on cross-functional projects with high technical complexity in the field of optical manufacturing, optoelectronics, process optimization

Deep understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes for precision components combined with knowledge about lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, FMEA and automation/digital manufacturing (MES/ERP)

Knowledge of project management (planning, stakeholder/risk management, resource coordination, controlling, reporting)

Ability to translate complex technical dependencies into clear decisions and action plans.

Sovereign and diplomatic negotiation and implementation skills for process optimization and market adjustment

Very good knowledge of German and English; other languages (e.g. Mandarin) advantageous; readiness for international travel
