After your practice-oriented training, you can continue to qualify as a specialist in the course of the course in two years and achieve an equivalent Bachelor level. The training as a train driver (w/m/d) takes place at DB InfraGO AG at the Augsburg site. The vocational school is located in Landshut. In the training you sit in one of the numerous control centers of the railway (called “Stellwerk”) and learn the following activities: With technical support, for example in the form of screens or display panels, you will test and control the trains so that the trains take the right path. You decide when to stop, drive or overtake the trains. You serve and set switches as well as light signals and thus influence the train traffic.
