You lead and motivate a dedicated team in import sea freight and actively support this in achieving the operational goals in close coordination with Vice President Seafreight- the focus is on supporting non-group customers (third market) and Otto Group internal customers You are actively involved in day-to-day business, take care of critical shipments and take over and tax escalation topics Your function is the identification of efficiency potentials as well as the development and implementation of innovative approaches to the sustainable optimization of operational processes The structured analysis of deviations as well as the derivation and implementation of concrete measures to improve earnings is also part of your task You work closely with international partners, internal stakeholders and other departments to ensure a smooth operation in the operatic and optimally meet the needs of our customers Ensuring a clean and up-to-date monthly financial statements including the necessary transparency about all relevant KPIs and compliance with margin discipline in daily business is your responsibility Your leadership also includes coaching and the development of your team as well as ensuring a result-oriented and dynamic work environment for your employees You build a deep understanding of customer needs to target operational and commercial measures Joint customer visits with the sales team to strengthen existing business relationships and develop new potentials are also part of your tasks
