Cyber Security should not only take place at the end of a project, but be an integral part of software development from the outset. In our team, we drive the transformation towards a “Shift Left” approach and support development and product teams to integrate security early into their processes. During your internship, you will gain insights into modern cyber security and DevSecOps methods and help us develop our application security landscape. Your tasks include: Support in the introduction and further development of Application Security Insights (AppSI) for transparency on security risks in applications
Working with the implementation of Shift Left Security initiatives for early integration of security requirements in development processes
Analysis and preparation of key figures and security metrics for management and developer reports
Support in assessing vulnerabilities and monitoring of improvement measures
Creating training and communication materials to raise development teams
Support for the further development of DevSecOps processes and the integration of security checks in CI/CD pipelines
Participation in workshops and coordination with developers, architects, product owners and security experts
Cooperation with pilot projects for the automation of application security processes
The activity can begin from September 2026 (by agreement).
Immatricated student*in in a degree programme in the field of (economic) computer science, cyber security, software engineering, IT security or a comparable technical degree programme
Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing
Basic understanding of modern software development and software architectures
First knowledge in at least one programming language (e.g. Java, Python, JavaScript or C#)
Interest in cloud technologies, DevSecOps or CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub or comparable tools are advantageous
First contact points with Cyber Security, Secure Coding or Vulnerability Management are desirable
You think analytic and approach challenges in a structured manner
You take responsibility and work independently on your tasks
You're happy to learn new things and deal with current technologies
