Our Architecture & Portfolio (AP) division sets the strategic guidelines for BWI's IT architecture and service and performance portfolio. We combine the requirements of the Bundeswehr with the technological possibilities of the market and manage their implementation efficiently and in a targeted manner. In order to control complex IT developments at the end, we bundle expertise in clusters. For the COMMs cluster, the backbone of IT networking, we are looking for an experienced professional management personality as a cluster Lead (m/w/d) IT Architecture & Portfolio, which maintains the overview, sets strategic impulses and masters the bridge between customer requirements, our expert, architecture and implementation.

As a cluster lead for COMMs, you take over the team's technical control, which is responsible for the strategy-compliant development of the IT architecture and the service portfolio in the field of network technology and network communication (LAN, WAN, WLAN, network security, SDN). This means: Strategic control: They design the architecture and portfolio development for the COMMs cluster and ensure their implementation - from target formation to implementation. Bridge between Bundeswehr & BWI: They are responsible for the development of portfolio target images, IT building plans and technology roadmaps and ensure their focus on customer needs. Interface management: They are the first contact for customers and internal stakeholders when it comes to architecture and portfolio issues in the COMMs cluster. Advice & Control: They advise the BWI top management and customers at strategic level and manage cooperation with projects and working groups. Stakeholder management: They ensure transparent communication and coordination with all stakeholders - from technical experts to leadership level.

They bring a strong combination of technical expertise, strategic vision and leadership experience with: Complete study of computer science, engineering or economics, or a comparable qualification in the IT environment in combination with more than ten years of dedicated professional experience absolutely necessary Multiannual experience in managing complex IT and network projects, ideally in the safety-critical environment Knowledge of the IT structures of the Bundeswehr Multiannual professional leadership experience, especially in the management of virtual teams Target-oriented approach, analytical thinking and the ability to delegate topics to our specialist experts Practical long-term expertise in IT Enterprise architecture or portfolio management Communication and negotiation security at management level - internally and externally Experience in stakeholder management and the application of agile methods Moderation competence for strategic and technical discussions German and very good English skills
