The Institute for Networked Energy Systems employs around 180 employees at Oldenburg and Stuttgart locations. With its departments of urban and building technologies, energy system technology and energy system analysis, the Institute addresses system-oriented questions on the intelligent and efficient linking of the electricity, heat and transport sectors. System levels are considered from the single plant to the ‘smarte’ building to connected residential areas and cities.
