Head of Traffic Management and Technology (m/f/d)

We are looking for the civil engineering office of the state capital of Stuttgart. The place shall be occupied without delay. As head of the Transport Management and Traffic Technology Department, you are responsible for over 800 light signal systems, eight traffic computers and the associated control systems in the Integrated Traffic Control Centre together with your dedicated team. In addition, modern traffic and parking control systems, traffic control devices for a total of twelve road tunnels as well as over 2,000 parking ticket machines are included. With the central funding acquisition within the civil engineering office, you support the transport transition in Stuttgart. You run the service with 45 highly qualified employees You develop strategies for the mobility of the future and new solutions for the digitization of transport You create concepts for transport projects and to ensure high availability of systems You are responsible for the construction, operation and maintenance of transport systems You are responsible for the funding acquisition within the civil engineering office As part of your task, you will work with specialist bodies A change or addition of the task area is reserved.

A completed scientific study of the field of civil engineering, transport or comparable course of study (in the case of foreign degrees, the submission of recognition in Germany is required) It is also possible to apply for officials of the higher engineering administration service Multiannual experience in a senior position and strong leadership skills Embossed strategic, economic and networked thinking and action as well as the ability to promote, control and accompany changes Collegality and collaborative capacity with different target groups Safe appearance, good communication skills and knowledge of German with good expressiveness in word and writing
