The Youth Protection Centre – A Safe Port Our Youth Protection Centre can accommodate up to 8 young people aged 14 to 18 who need a temporary protective situation according to § 42 SGB VIII. Here, young people find a home in crisis situations – a secure port that provides space for stabilisation, perspective clarification and first steps from the crisis. Our team of dedicated pedagogical professionals works around the clock to make this possible.

You create a safe, valuable space for young people who are in acute crisis situations. You accompany the young people through their crisis situation and help them with your sensitive way in the crisis. You work closely with (order) authorities and guardians. With creativity and openness, you shape everyday life in the Youth Protection Centre. You are a trusted person and at the same time provide clear orientation – even in difficult moments. You carry out documentation, accompany inobservation conferences and support in the rapid clarification of further measures.

A completed training or study in the field of education, e.g. social education, social work, educators, medical education or a comparable qualification. A high sensitivity and joy in working with young people in crisis situations, along with a pronounced understanding of proximity and distance. Loadability, flexibility and ability to keep a cool head even in crises. An appreciation, resource-oriented attitude and desire to accompany and strengthen young people in their development. Willingness to work in shiftwork, even on weekends, because the youth protection office is open 24/7.
