Head of Daycare Centers (m/f/d)

We are the AWO pro:mensch, a 100% subsidiary of the Landesverband der Berliner Arbeitswohlfahrt and are therefore one of the top associations of the Free Well-being Care. At the end of 1999 we started the operation with a day care facility and less than 10 employees. Today, more than 300 colleagues work in 15 facilities in the areas of daycare centers, child and youth assistance, participation for mentally impaired people and the office. In order to strengthen our team in the field of children's daycare facilities, we are looking for 39 hours per week from 01.10.2026 (possibly also at a later time) an area management daycare facilities in the office of AWO pro:mensch gGmbH in Berlin-Mariendorf. The area of daycare facilities includes 8 kitas with about 1000 seats and 180 employees in the districts Marzahn-Hellersdorf, Reinickendorf and Steglitz-Zehlendorf.

Strategic and professional development of the entire Kita area alignment and control of the individual devices in accordance with the quality standards of AWO Personal and economic management (including budgetary responsibility) Leadership and professional development of the Kita guides and the staff of the Kita area External representation of the area towards families, offices, institutions and other institutions, and bodies Ensuring a modern, early education concept and accompaniment of the Kita building

Insufficient management experience in the management of daycare facilities (multiannual) Degree in social educationin, diploma educationin or comparable qualification (BA/MA/Diplom) Very good communication and cooperation skills, differentiated and prejudice-free perception Sensitivity and sovereign appearance – for constructive, reflected and targeted cooperation with lines, employees, superiors, families and institutions Interest in overarching social themes of families in Kitas Structured, strategic and economic thinking Openness for new and proven, flexibility and self-responsibility
