Responsibilities Disciplinary leadership and continuous development of the Mechatronics team

Responsibility for the development of innovative mechatronic systems in compliance with legal, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

Coordination and technical decision-making regarding mechatronics-related issues, especially at the interfaces between mechatronics, hardware, manufacturing, and procurement

Collaboration with adjacent departments such as Production, Production Engineering, and Procurement to ensure manufacturable product development

Evaluation and assurance of the manufacturability of mechatronic components including the selection and application of appropriate manufacturing methods while considering commercial constraints

Consideration of and technical responsibility for surface treatment and coating technologies within product development

Advising internal stakeholders on all aspects of mechatronics development

Planning, conceptualization, and execution of development projects—from requirements analysis through to series production readiness

Resource and capacity planning projects

Responsibility for the Mechatronics Development Laboratory

Requirements Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline

Strong knowledge of mechatronic system development, including relevant standards and regulations

Experience in the structuring and integration of assemblies consisting of mechanical, electronic, and software components

Experience with manufacturability analysis and Design for Manufacturing (DfM)

Knowledge of common coating and surface treatment processes and their impact on component properties

Practical experience in cross-functional collaboration, especially with Production and Manufacturing Engineering

Strong quality and safety awareness

Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken

Experience with modern development and simulation tools (e.g., CAD, FEM, thermal simulation, Teamcenter) is desirable

Proven leadership experience with responsibility for building, developing, and motivating high-performing engineering teams
