The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a well-known aid organisation and a free, non-profit body of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees. The SOS Children's Village Dortmund is a growing network of stationary and outpatient youth aids. In addition to a children's village family, there are also differentiated care facilities for stationary housing groups for children, outpatient assistance for education, a public day nursery with family center as well as a city centre.
