During your studies, you change between the theoretical phases at the Dual University of Mannheim and exciting practical assignments at the Stadtwerken Ludwigsburg Kornwestheim.

Study content: Applying technical principles: You will understand engineering and economic mathematics, technical physics and technical mechanics and learn to transfer to practical questions. Understanding energy systems: You can learn electrotechnical principles, electrical machines as well as automation and control technology and understand their use in energy systems. Digital work: You expand your IT skills, apply programming and get to know modern communication techniques. Designing supply systems: You will learn the basics of water and gas supply as well as the disposal, biomass and power plant technology and understand their connections. Designing the energy industry: You understand market models and network structures as well as issues such as liberalisation, regulation, unbundling and network fee regulation are no longer foreign words for you. Practical phases: Get to know energy trading: You will gain insights into the procurement, trade and sale of energy while understanding the processes and relationships of the energy market. Actively support sales: In technical applications and in network distribution, you will participate – for example in the creation of offers, the execution of price calculations and the processing of customer-related questions. Control system and data logistics: You will learn and understand the processes of plant and data logistics, how technical systems, measurement data and information are efficiently captured, managed and controlled. Experience supply technology in a practical way: you will learn the operation and technical support of gas and water networks as well as water extraction systems and will participate in maintenance, maintenance and repair of the plants. Configure heat supply: You accompany the construction and commissioning of heat generation plants and gain practical experience with modern technologies and solutions for reliable and efficient heat supply.

You have a successfully completed (professional qualification) or equivalent qualification (e.g. a subject with delta examination, professional qualification with master title, professional advancement or completed training with at least 3 years of professional experience). Natural sciences and mathematics lie to you and you bring good knowledge. Economic relationships can be found exciting and want to understand them. You think analytic and approach challenges in a structured manner.
