The unit is responsible for developing tools, methods and tools in the field of drone defence (detection and smart intervention). As part of the leadership circle, you will continue to develop the field strategically and in terms of content, oriented towards the needs of the present and future. You control and plan resources in the area of responsibility. You are responsible for efficient and quality-proof product development in the defined task area. You advise the security authorities and advise networks with other experts at work level. You represent the ZITiS before authorities (especially security authorities), industry, research institutions, foreign and international organisations. You support employees in a targeted manner to ensure their professional excellence.

completed technical or scientific studies (Master/ Diploma univ.) in the field of engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics or in a comparable technical or scientific field at least three years of professional experience focusing on drones, signal analysis, system integration in drone defence, autonomous or embedded systems or comparable at least two years of professional experience in a safety-relevant environment very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing at least 2 years of leadership experience (scientific or disciplinary), e.g. as Head of Unit, Deputy Head of Unit or Project Management OF PRESENT: Experience in the introduction of hardware and software products Experience in the development of technical solutions Experience in the organisational development/building of organisational units Teamability and role model for support of diversity Learning and presentation skills strong leadership skills that actively promote transparent communication, constructive error management and a “culture of cooperation” the ability to communicate complex situations according to target groups (from the expert to the press release) high level of initiative, resilience and willingness to take responsibility professional handling of customers readiness for occasional national and international missions by agreement
