Manager Continuous Improvement (m/f/d)

You are responsible for the NOS (Novelis Operating System) development and certification at the Koblenz site and are actively driving the orientation of the site to the NOS standards. You take over the leadership of the CI team as well as the technical support and further development of the NOS engineers at the plant You control all activities in the Continuous Improvement (CI) area and are responsible for selecting relevant projects, compiling the project teams and monitoring the implementation You implement the CI initiatives of Novelis at the plant and ensure that CI‐Trainings are ready and successfully implemented for employees from operations, maintenance and administrative areas You develop future Black Belts, Green Belts, Yellow Belts and White Belts and accompany their professional development Managing, coordinating and moderating the location's Lean, CI, and Kaizen initiatives and driving their sustainable implementation You strengthen the workforce's lean skills by promoting the application of A3 methods, Rapid Improvement Events (RIE), 6S standards and sustainability plans and establishing a culture of continuous problem solving You play a central role in the site-wide further development of the Continuous Improvement System and carry out regular alignment reviews and assessments with management, steering committees and core teams You live an open error and learning culture, promote experimentation and drive both improvements actively You work in a challenging production environment

You have completed university studies in the field of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, process engineering and the like and at least 6 years of relevant professional experience in the field of production as well as in the field of Operational Excellence, Lean Management or Continuous Improvement You bring strong analytical and conceptual skills and can systematically identify, evaluate and translate complex problems into sustainable solutions You convince through sound knowledge in the development or optimization of technical processes and have a high degree of innovative and conceptual thinking You ideally already have a Six-Sigma certification You demonstrate leadership skills, promote the further development of your team members and gain employees of all levels for lean and improvement processes. You work in a targeted, structured and communication-strong manner – both in operational day-to-day business and in building long-term improvement structures You ideally bring experience with Power BI and are safe in handling the MS Office programs Secure knowledge of German and English complete your profile
