Our Road Transport Infrastructure Unit is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the transport network within port boundaries. We are therefore responsible for maintaining the value of road transport and for ensuring traffic. In the case of renewals of roads, we always have a look at the future requirements for the transport systems, including in terms of performance and sustainability. Particularly in the case of structural maintenance, we work very closely with the operating road maintenance.

You plan and measure complex road and infrastructure measures and develop sustainable solutions for a modern, powerful transport infrastructure. You carry out basic investigations, variant studies and the technical examination of pre- and design planning and prepare approval and plan determination procedures. If you choose to be legally compliant, you agree to content with specialist services and public service providers and conduct award and price negotiations. As a construction manager, you monitor the execution on site, ensure quality, appointments, costs and work security and solve technical and organizational challenges. You check and negotiate reports, document them professionally and tax the time and cost development in the course of the project. Builders coordinate you and ensure smooth operations while maintaining traffic. You also take tasks of adjacent disciplines – e.g. planning and monitoring of rainwater purification plants or the derivation of refurbishment strategies for Siele. In complex earth-building measures, in particular in the handling of contaminated soils, you can participate in planning, tendering and disposal concepts.

You have a degree in civil engineering with deep knowledge in road construction or have equivalent knowledge and skills. Extensive experience in the planning and construction of road construction and infrastructure measures is yours. In technical standards, guidelines and public procurement (VOB, VOL), you can move safely and know the relevant approval processes. Port knowledge or experience in working in complex existing and traffic areas are of advantage. You work aim-oriented, independent and structured and keep track of parallel projects. A cooperative approach, safe occurrence and communication and conflictability are your strengths. Economic thinking, negotiation skills and enforcement skills are the same as responsibility. You meet sound decisions, tax external partners and ensure high-quality and economical project results.
