In the team Digitalization, AI & Analytics @ VAN/O, you are working on innovative issues relating to material flow simulation, data analysis, process optimization, digitization and artificial intelligence within the global production network of Mercedes-Benz Vans. As a cross-sectoral and cross-sectoral competence center, we support production plants and departments in the analysis, planning and optimization of complex processes. We combine modern simulation methods, data analytics, process mining and AI and digitalization approaches to enable data-based decisions and unlock new potentials along the entire value chain. Our material flow and process simulations form a central component of our daily work. About our team Digitalization, AI & Analytics @ VAN/O is the cross-disciplinary competence center for material flow simulation, data analysis, process mining, digitization and artificial intelligence within Mercedes-Benz Vans Operations. We develop simulation models of production and logistics processes, analyze complex processes using modern data platforms and drive the introduction of innovative digital and AI solutions. Our goal is to make a sustainable contribution to the performance of the global production network through data-based decisions, digitization and intelligent optimization. Your tasks During your practice semester, you can help our team: Working in national and international simulation, analysis and digitization projects Creation, development and evaluation of material flow simulations and digital models Analysis of production, logistics and process data Development of dashboards, evaluations and basis of decision Working with AI and data analytics applications for production and logistics Support in the introduction and further development of digital solutions and automation approaches Working in the context of Process Mining, Simulation Cloud (Maya: Anylogic Cloud) and Modern Analytics Platforms Preparation and implementation of project dates and management presentations Cooperation with production plants and departments in Germany, Poland, Spain and other international locations You're expecting Working in a newly established team at the interface of simulation, analytics, digitalization and AI Direct insight into real optimization projects at Mercedes-Benz Vans Application of state-of-the-art methods of material flow simulation and digital validation Insights into Data Analytics, Process Mining, Machine Learning and AI applications in the production environment Working with innovative digitalization and automation initiatives within VAN/O Use of our Maya Simulation Platform (Anylogic Cloud) to provide simulation models worldwide Cooperation with experts from production, logistics, IT, data analytics and digital transformation Modern working environment with hybrid working possibilities Personal support by an experienced mentor within the team Building a valuable network within Mercedes-Benz AG The activity can begin from November 2026.
