As an independent, recognised consumer conciliation agency which works free of charge for consumers, we promote the extra-judicial settlement of disputes between consumers and their insurance company, in particular from an insurance contract or in connection with the mediation of such. The insurance industry established the conciliation centre in 2001. On the one hand, it follows the objective of consumer protection and, on the other hand, the differences of opinion between insurance customers and insurers or insurance intermediaries and thus avoiding judicial disputes. The conciliation site is organized as a registered association. Members are the affiliated insurance companies and the general association of the German insurance industry e. V. The ombudswoman is independent and not subject to instructions with regard to their decisions and their management.

Your Task Area You accept complaints from consumers and provide telephone and written information about the procedure. It is part of the activity to filter out the essentials from statements, to file complaints in the EDV and to prepare documents for legal examination.

Your profile You have successfully completed the training as an insurance businessman and can deal well with PC programs. You enter facts quickly and evaluate them correctly. In contact with consumers and insurers, you can express yourself clearly and behave on the phone in a situation-oriented manner. Good knowledge of English is advantageous. The place is suitable for both starters and for persons with insurance experience. If you have successfully completed the job profile and you have completed another commercial training (e.g. office merchant, bank merchant) and/or as a lawyer and notary professional experience, we are also interested in you.
