In the field of secondary networks, we are responsible for providing information technology connections for monitoring and controlling the Berlin power distribution network. For this purpose, we operate OT systems (operational technology) and continuously develop them with respect to resilience. Ensuring reliable and secure operation of the central OT monitoring platform based on Zabbix. Monitoring of OT services, servers, networks, applications and technical infrastructures for early detection of disturbances and risks. Conception, implementation and continuous development of monitoring, alarming and reporting solutions. Integration of new systems, applications and infrastructure components into the monitoring landscape. Analysis and optimization of monitoring concepts, thresholds, event correlations and escalation mechanisms. Active support of projects in the introduction of new OT systems and their integration into the monitoring platform. Support in the detection and analysis of safety-relevant events in cooperation with the IT and OT security teams. Automation of recurring operational tasks and further development of the operating processes. Creation and maintenance of technical and operational documentation. Participation in the operational readiness service.

A successfully completed (specialized) university degree in computer science or a comparable relevant degree course. Professional experience in the operation of IT/OT systems and in infrastructure and service monitoring. Found knowledge of monitoring solutions, ideally Zabbix. Experience in monitoring server, network, virtualization and application environments. Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux-based infrastructures. Experience in the analysis and processing of disorders as well as incident and problem management. Practical knowledge of automation (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Ansible). Understanding IT/OT security requirements and monitoring security events. Joy of cooperation also beyond area boundaries. Embossed communication and organization skills. Practical experience in the structured implementation of technical projects and projects.
