Your mission As a business field controller / Commercial Director Education (m/w/d) you take over the overall responsibility for the fields of controlling / finance / commercial for the business field Education with a view to Germany and international companies worldwide. You work closely with the management and actively manage the economic development of an established national and international business. Their focus is on a holistic commercial management of the business field, transparency about profitability, growth, cash flow and economic relationships, as well as the further development of a resilient control model across all relevant national and international units. You actively shape business governance, economic transparency, governance and sustainable further development of the entire field of education. In an international matrix organization, you act as a central commercial interface between business, holding and global companies. Holistic Business Control of the Business Area Education General responsibility for the Education business area in Germany and internationally Strategic Sparring Partner of the Management Board for Economic and Operational Decisions Active management of financial performance, profitability and sustainable development of the entire business Identification of market potentials, economic opportunities and profit leverage Support for strategic growth and internationalisation initiatives Close cooperation with national and international management teams Finance, Controlling & Performance Management Responsibility for a professional business and performance controlling across all national and international units Monthly, quarterly and annual reports Forecasts, scenario analyses and multiannual planning Analysis of profitability, margins, cash flow and economic development Construction and development of transparent KPI and control models Business Cases, Investment Assessments and Economic Accounts Support for make-or-buy decisions deriving concrete measures to improve performance and results Support / Contribution to the financial statements International and National Governance & Structure Development of an integrated commercial control model for Germany and international companies Harmonisation of standards, KPI logics and transparency structures Optimization of interfaces between business, holding, subsidiaries and operating areas Professionalization of forecasting, budget and reporting processes Ensuring resilient decision bases and comparability across all relevant units Support for group-wide transformation and structural projects Leadership & Business Partnering Direct Sparring Partner of the Management Board Education Leadership and development of relevant commercial structures, teams and interfaces Building a strong economic understanding throughout the business field Active participation of strategic decisions and growth paths Cooperation with holding, finance, operations, sales and international stakeholders

We are looking for an entrepreneurial business partner and designer with the pleasure of being responsible, international business and sustainable development, which is not too bad to do basic work. Successfully completed studies in the field of business management, finance, controlling or comparable Multiannual experience in controlling, finance or commercial management Ideally experience in a producing, internationally shaped business environment Strong understanding of holistic business control, profitability and economic relationships Experience in national and international control models Experience in matrix organisations and cross-departmental cooperation Entrepreneurial thinking, clear implementation strength and high self-responsibility Joy in connecting structures, developing and accommodating growth economically clean High analytical strength and strategic vision Sovereign appearance at management level Very good ERP and system competence, ideally SAP PowerBI/Excel and Analytical Skills German and English skills International readiness Joy of responsibility, design and entrepreneurship Why this role is particularly important This role is more than finance.
