The SOS Children's Village Thüringen offers differentiated stationary and outpatient assistance for children, young people and families, a family consultancy office, open and intergenerational offers in a family centre and in the women's communication centre.

For our SOS Children's Village in Thuringia we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in permanent employment, full-time (38,5 hours/Where.) Your task: In our SOS family group, up to eight children and young people live, who often have stressful and challenging experiences. Our goal is to provide them with a protected habitat where You can develop confidence, experience stability and develop their individual strengths. Each of our four residential groups has its own house on the spacious grounds of a former estate in the Gera district of Lusan. Cosy living and dining areas create space for common family life, while single and double rooms offer retreats for playing, learning and relaxing. A large garden with a tree house, a partly covered courtyard and a building car as a meeting point for older children and young people invite you to discover, move and stay. Reliable daily support: You create a safe, stable and loving daily routine in which the children feel canceled. Individual support: You support children in school and professional matters, strengthen their social skills and accompany them on their way to self-employment. Deep relationship work: You build trusted relationships, recognize the individual needs of the children and help them to develop their potential. Teamwork and pedagogical planning: You work closely with colleagues, design help planning together and develop pedagogical concepts that give guidance to children in the long term. Leisure design and creative offers: You develop creative, playful and exciting activities that support children in their personal and social development. Home Economic Tasks: You help to structure a family life in which children experience self-employment and sense of responsibility. Network work: You cultivate valuable cooperations with families of origin, schools, kitas, therapists, doctors, to ensure holistic support for children. Documentation and reflection: You regularly reflect your pedagogical action and carefully document processes to ensure the quality of care. Child protection: You always act in the sense of the well-being of children and are conscientiously implementing measures for the protection of children and responsibilities.

Your qualifications and skills: You have completed training as an educator or comparable educational qualification. Ideally, you will bring experience in stationary child and youth assistance or a comparable educational field. You are sensitive to the individual needs of children and adolescents and build trusting, sustainable relationships. Also in challenging situations you act patiently, reliable and professionally and give the advocates stability and orientation. In doing so, you design proximity and distance adequately and professionally. You regularly reflect your pedagogical action and implement pedagogical concepts as well as the protection mandate responsibly and consistently. You work constructively and respectfully with colleagues, parents and network partners and contribute to a collegial working environment. You introduce their own ideas, make everyday life varied and promote the personal development of the representatives. You have the pleasure of developing yourself professionally and personally and using your knowledge for the good of the representatives.
