Team Leader External Communications (m/f/d)

KNDS Germany develops, manufactures and maintains a wide-spread product portfolio as a system house. Your tasks include the strategic control and continuous development of external corporate communication and the positioning of KNDS Germany in national and international media, specialist and stakeholders. Furthermore, you are responsible for the development and implementation of data-based communication and PR strategies, analyse relevant political, social and technological developments and derive targeted communication measures. You also take over the full responsibility of press, media and stakeholders communication, act as corporate spokesperson and coordinate national and international media requests and communication activities. Also design and control communication campaigns, storylines and target group-specific content and accompany public appearances of top management. In addition, you advise management and departments, identify risks at an early stage and work in reputation and crisis communication management. You coordinate cross-departmental voting processes and external partners, analyze media resonances, develop communication standards and ensure the sustainable development of the visibility and reputation of KNDS Germany.

You have a successfully completed degree in the field of communication, media, journalism, public relations, marketing or a comparable qualification. In addition, you bring many years of professional experience in external communication or press work as well as several years of experience as a press spokesperson or in a comparable function. Ideally, you have experience in corporate, agency or media environments as well as in international communication. You have profound knowledge of the development and implementation of effective communication measures and understand current media mechanisms, communication channels and PR trends. Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing complete your profile.
