Robotic Software Engineer (all genders welcome) - Maritime Robotics – Signal Processing ( Subsea NDT / AUV Systems)

As a Robotics Software Engineer specializing in maritime robotics, you will be responsible for the signal processing of various sensor heads used for non-destructive testing (NDT) onboard autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) performing close-range inspection of maritime infrastructure. You will develop robust, ROS2-based algorithms and collaboration closely with interdisciplinary teams and research partners to drive innovative solutions in underwater robotics.

.

Your tasks • Your profile • What we offer

You develop signal processing solutions for various sensor heads used in non-destructive testing (NDT) of offshore subsea assets — covering both real-time data processing to support onboard automation and downstream analysis and evaluation.

You design inspection solutions for critical subsea infrastructure (e.g. pipelines, offshore platforms, energy and communication networks) and validate them for deployment under real ocean conditions.

You plan, conduct, and measured simulations and maritime field tests, acceleration relevant sensor and navigation data.

You work with modern software development environments and open-source frameworks (in particular ROS2) as well as relevant libraries to implement and evaluate your algorithms.

You collaborate closely with other teams within the Subsea group, including high-level mission planning, manipulator control, and vehicle control, as well as external partners.

You partner with universities and research institutions in the field of maritime robotics and autonomous systems, participating to joint research and development projects.

To become part of the Rosenxt family , you convince us with an independent, structured, and team-oriented way of working, along with strong communication and collaboration skills. So you bring: You have a degree in a technical field search as robotics, computer science, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a comparable field, ideally with a focus on maritime robotics or AUV-based inspection.

You have several years of professional experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or maritime robotics. .

You have solid knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) sensor technologies in the maritime offshor contexte, search as cathodic protection or flooded member detection, along with a strong background in signal processing and analysis.

You bring a strong sense of ownership and excellent communication skills within interdisciplinary teams.

You have a genuine affinity for research and collaboration with universities and research institutes.
