The office is a control center, the first point of contact for projects and measures and development agency to jointly maintain this unique habitat and to find the balance between natural cycles and the use for regional value added for people living in the region. Its mission is to ensure, as a face of the biosphere area, that the objectives of the Black Forest biosphere area are achieved in a sustainable manner together with your team and in close coordination with the regional and local partners as well as the ministries.

completed university studies (Master / Diploma) in the field of environmental, forestry, natural sciences and a comparable discipline suitable for the successful performance of tasks or equivalent skills and experience (the ability for a professionally relevant civil service is advantageous) multiannual professional experience in functions eligible for the management of the biosphere reserve (for officials: at least in grade A15), ideally in public administration a pre-used use at the level of ministries (or comparable) or the willingness to a future qualifying assignment to a ministry strong leadership and organisational competence technical capability for strategic-conceptual development, implementation and communication of projects and events in the field of large-scale protected areas Knowledge of the region and of organisational and administrative structures in the environment of the Black Forest Biosphere Area are advantageous great sense of responsibility, high readiness and resilience, enforcing ability, persuasiveness and strong negotiation skills safe handling of the German language in word and writing Car driver's license class B and willingness to travel and to exercise appointments outside regular working hours (end / weekends)
