Information Security Officer / ISB in the Financial Sector (m/f/d)

Our client is a regionally rooted financial institution with several locations in the Ruhr region and a high level of security, stability and sustainable customer relations. As a modern house in a highly regulated environment, issues such as information security, governance and regulatory requirements are becoming increasingly important.

In the course of a strategic further development of the area, a communication-strong personality is now sought as an information security officer / ISB (m/w/d), which safely accompanies the above-mentioned topics, develops structures and acts as an important interface between specialist areas, IT, management and external auditors.

The role is deliberately broad: In addition to classic information security topics, the focus is on governance, reporting, awareness raising and structured support for supervisory and organisational requirements. No purely technical IT security personalities are explicitly sought, but someone who understands complex facts can moderate different interests and promote topics pragmatically. The position offers a varied and visible range of tasks with plenty of design space, direct exchange with decision-makers and a long-term development perspective within a stable and modern environment.

Responsibility and further development of information security and governance issues within a regulated financial environment Monitoring regulatory requirements and internal safety standards and support in risk analysis, safety assessments and internal control processes Creating structured reports, documentation and decision templates for different stakeholders up to management level Consultation and awareness of specialist areas, executives and project teams on safety-relevant issues Close cooperation with internal interfaces such as IT, compliance and management as well as external audit and supervisory bodies Participation in transnational projects, in particular in the context of technical and organisational changes Support for audits, audits and compliance issues Technical support and coordination of topics in the team environment

Professional experience in information security, IT governance, compliance, revision or a comparable regulatory environment Experience in the banking, financial services or insurance environment Structured and analytical methods, as well as the ability to prepare complex facts in a manner that is appropriate to the address Communication strength, diplomatic skill and sovereign appearance at different levels Pleasure of cross-departmental cooperation and to actively shape themes Ideally, first contact points with standards, testing requirements or relevant safety requirements in the area of information security German language skills in word and writing
