The SPU is the joint production unit of ZEISS. We produce key components for our ZEISS savings and are therefore the proficient and the hand of the pioneer ZEISS. With us creative ideas are implemented reliably.

In the central quality management, you design the strategic development of our process and system landscape – focusing on quality management processes and their interconnection with adjacent business areas. In this function, you control multi-site projects, work closely with different functional areas and support management in implementing strategic objectives.

Your role Definition, analysis and continuous improvement of the process and system landscape in the quality environment

Ensuring a site-wide consistent process and system architecture as well as synchronization with adjacent areas

Coordination and integration of different management requirements, management system, SPU requirements and external/regulatory requirements

Harmonisation of existing procedures and development of adaptation and improvement concepts with the relevant interfaces

Head of cross-disciplinary (partial) projects in process and quality management, including in international context

Initiation and control of optimization projects based on benchmarks, best practices and strategic development trends, as well as analysis of complex issues in the management system, development of concepts and monitoring of implementation

Definition and reporting of relevant KPIs for selected processes for controlling target achievement

a successfully completed study, e.g. economic engineering, economics, business informatics, industrial engineering or comparable – ideally with a focus on process, quality or production management

multiannual project management experience in matrix-organized group structures with international production sites, as well as experience in managing complex projects in the ERP environment and with multiple SAP modules

well-founded professional experience in the quality and production environment, ideally with application experience in MES systems; QM further formations (e.g. DGQ) are advantageous

sovereign appearance and pronounced presentation and moderation strength at management level

convincing, strong personality with the ability to translate different perspectives into sustainable solutions, as well as a structured, targeted and interdisciplinary way of working and high team and communication skills

very good English skills, strong intercultural competence and the willingness to occasional, shorter national journeys are provided
