Number: MER0003M16 Together with our partners worldwide, we, the “CKD Logistics Planning, Packaging Development & -E2E Standards” team, shape the international CKD-Supply Chain for Mercedes-Benz Cars – i.e. the “Completely Knocked Down” shipment of vehicle kits to various foreign plants. As part of strategic projects, we develop comprehensive logistics concepts and adapt our infrastructure to the changing conditions. These include the planning and implementation of new logistics centers as well as the development and implementation of innovative delivery concepts for our CKD plants overseas. We also ensure that our global CKD-Supply Chain becomes even more powerful and efficient. To this end, we write logistics services with high strategic relevance, which enable the cost-optimal operation of the consolidation centers in our global network. In addition, we analyze the global supply chain costs, predict them for future vehicle models and thereby support strategic and operational decision-making processes. We also develop packaging that meets the specific requirements of CKD shipping. We always work closely with our colleagues in the operating teams that control the daily supply of CKD plants with production material. We are looking for active student support for our team. During your internship, you will be actively involved in our diverse planning tasks and take part in our dynamic environment. An experienced staff member will assist you and provide regular feedback. These qualifications will help you: A degree in the field of economic engineering / economics or comparable degree course, ideally with a focus on logistics Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Self-employed and targeted work Fast understanding, enthusiasm and commitment Affinity for conceptual challenges as well as the analysis and optimization of processes and costs Teamability and Communication Strength Interest in intercultural cooperation Ideally first practical experience in supply chain management Additional information: Of course, without formalities, we are not.
