System Engineer for Virtualized System Environments (m/w/d)

For the reliable operation of the applications we developed, we provide our customers with managed cloud environments as needed. Depending on the requirement, the spectrum ranges from the operation of simple web servers accessible from the Internet to firewall-proof dedicated Kubernetes clusters with geo-rounding, Zero Data Loss DBs and 24/7-SLAs.

In recent years, the infrastructure has been strongly modernized at mgm to cover not only the hosting of customer projects, but also a separate cloud environment has been built to accelerate the deployment of new development environments. Your tasks

• Administration, maintenance, monitoring and expansion of our entire infrastructure at different data center locations
• Monitoring, optimization and extension of security measures to protect IT threats and ensure IT security
• Automation of routine tasks with shell scripts and tools
• Cooperation with our IT team, the in- and external infrastructure team and our database admins
• Documentation of the management tools and systems used as well as preparation of emergency plans
• Participation in call-readiness services outside the regular working time (against compensation)

• Complete vocational training as a specialist informant:in system integration or comparable
• Practical experience in virtualization environments, especially with KVM
• Know-how in creating shell scripts on Linux
• Ideally experience in handling automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform
• Very good German and good English skills
• Creativity, Self-Employment and Fun at Teamwork
