You are responsible for the specification and selection of coating systems (antifouling, ballast water tanks, overwater area, pretreatment etc.) and adhesive technologies (metallic structural adhesives, disc adhesives, wood materials, plastic materials) for our yacht new build orders. You take over the cross-disciplinary technical support in questions concerning ground preparation, coating, corrosion protection and adhesive technology In the specification production, you will ensure the preparation of the color specification for our new construction orders, including the creation of technical construction regulations, specifications and quality standards according to customer requirements, classification societies (e.g. DNV, LR) and IMO guidelines (e.g. PSPC). You will also be responsible for budgeting & scheduling. To do this, you work out budget proposals and support the development of project-specific schedules. In addition, you will create feasibility studies to evaluate new materials, surface preparation processes and adhesive systems taking into account sustainability (Green Shipping). Correspondingly, you carry out test series in the powerful test laboratory.

Successfully completed engineering studies (shipping, materials science, surface engineering, chemical engineering) or a comparable qualification (e.g. technicians/masters with many years of experience). Certification of the FROSIO Inspector (Level II or III) or NACE-Coating Inspector. Advantageous qualification for adhesive technology (EAS) or for adhesive technology (EAE) according to DVS-EWF guidelines Multiannual professional experience in shipbuilding, a shipyard or in the maritime subcontracting industry in the field of surface protection/adhesive technology. Safe handling of standards such as ISO 12944, IMO-PSPC, SOLAS and the regulations of classification societies. German and good English in word and writing. Good knowledge of popular MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) are expected
