Senior Manager:in Global Trade Compliance (m/f/d)

In the field of Global Trade Compliance, you ensure that our global business activities are on safe legs at all times and actively shape our processes.

You accompany Group-wide projects and new business models and ensure compliance with customs, export control and external economic requirements. You design, implement and develop global export control, customs and monitoring processes strategically, and formulate appropriate guidelines, procedures and work instructions. You continuously monitor international changes in foreign trade and customs law, evaluate resulting trade-related risks and conduct appropriate compliance measures. You work closely with authorities, clarifies special cases, secure the correct classification, valuation of customs value and determination of origin and represent the Head of Global Trade Compliance in its absence. You use central IT systems such as SAP and SAP GTS to analyse, shape and optimize global trade compliance processes and drive improvements, automation and digitization initiatives, including using AI. You support key users and end users worldwide professionally in export control and customs, participate in the daily business and coordinate the documentation, preparation and follow-up of internal and external audits. You plan and carry out training on processes, legal requirements and software used, including AI-based tools, and actively shape the SAP S/4HANA rollout in the field of external trade and trade compliance.

You have completed your studies in business, legal sciences (e.g. customs or economic law), engineering, international trade, finance or a comparable degree course, as an alternative to a commercial training with additional training, such as a certified customs professional. You bring multi-year, at least five years of professional experience in international import and export business, ideally in a globally active company, and have relevant practical experience in export control, customs department and trade compliance. You use your well-founded experience in dealing with authorities as well as your very good knowledge of legislative, licensing and administrative procedures in the field of external economics and customs in order to safely control complex issues and to prepare decisions in a resilient manner. You can rely on proven experience in project management, preferably in the context of external economic or compliance projects, and coordinate international stakeholders to implement projects in a structured, timely and outcome-oriented manner. You can safely handle MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel, as well as ERP systems such as SAP and SAP GTS, and use these tools to make processes transparent, evaluate data and support decisions based. In cooperation with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, you communicate clearly in German and English, bring intercultural understanding and also perform in challenging situations in a sovereign and addressable manner.
