We are 50Hertz – one of the four transmission system operators (TSO) in Germany. Together with the Belgian electricity grid operator Elia (Brussels), we form the resident active Elia Group. At 50Hertz, over 2,100 employees ensure that electricity flows over long distances reduced, with minimal loss, and optimally managed. As a TSO, we play a central role in the implementation of the energy transition from a technical and economic perspective, acting as a facilitator. IT/tech-related academic degree (bachelor's or master's degree), several years of experience using the Java-stack, Very good knowledge of Java frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot), Good knowledge of redundant, highly available systems, microservice architectures, API-centric system designs, and development environments, Knowledge of software design patterns and continuous integration methodology Language skills: English (C1) and German (B2-C1). Nice to have: Experience with development in cloud environment (public and private cloud), Good knowledge of standards and Java web technologies (backend) search as gRPC, as well as Camunda BPM as well as libraries for web front ends, Knowledge of OAuth2.0, graph databases, NoSql databases as well as Kubernetes.
