In our Residential Volksgartenstraße 30 people live with a severe mental illness or mental disability within the meaning of § 99 SGB IX, which are supervised by our team 24 hours a day. Different employment and day-structuring offers are available in our house. In the care and support of the people who live with us, our primary goal is to help them to live as self-determined as possible according to their own wishes and ideas. We are focusing on the principle of reference support.

What your tasks are:

• In the team, you will treat people with a mental illness with the support of the professional leadership.
• They are designed for the daily routine for about eight residents of a housing group, planning and accompanying leisure and promotional offers.
• Together with the residents, with respect for the right of self-determination, they develop ideas for a meaningful employment and an individual future planning.
• They recognise the needs of the residents, develop individual help plans and implement them.
• They take over primary care and nursing activities and support residents in the field of health care.
• They coordinate doctor appointments and accompany the residents if necessary.
• They communicate and cooperate at eye level in the team and with external contact persons.
• They conduct individual discussions and adequately employ educational methods.
• They recognise conflict potential in the group, apply strategies for conflict and crisis management.
• You document your activity using our PC programs.
• You will guide helpers in the care and interns of our institution.

What you should bring:

• A degree in social education, medical education, as a state-recognized nurse/recognized nursing caregiver, state-recognized educator/educator with additional curative qualification.
• A respectful and sensitive way in the care and promotion of residents.
• The ability to design professional relationships and to act independently in the defined area of competence.
• A dedicated, independent way of working and a high level of commitment.
• flexibility and willingness to shift work.
• The willingness to develop regularly.
• Basic PC knowledge, especially in the field of MS Office and in the handling of computer-assisted documentation systems.
