As a (Senior) Enterprise Architect, you are actively shaping the strategic development of our IT landscape at Group level – one of the largest and most complex IT landscapes in European trade (several thousand applications, across countries and countries). You combine business and IT strategy and translate it into clear architectural targets, guide planks and transformation initiatives. You work closely with executives, departments and architects: both together and ensure that our IT landscape remains efficient, scalable and future-oriented. You understand Enterprise Architecture as a shaping and enabling force – close to product and platform teams, modern and pragmatic, with real added value for the teams instead of pure documentation.

You work on key questions like: How do we develop our system landscape along strategic business objectives? How do we create standards and reusability across domains? How do we control transformation in a complex, grown IT landscape?

With this, you can see one of the largest and most diverse IT landscapes in German trade – with direct influence on central business processes along the entire value chain.

Tasks that keep you posted: You guide architectural target images and transformation paths from the corporate and IT strategy You define architecture principles, standards and governance, linking mandatory guide planks with enablement of the teams You are structuring the IT landscape (e.g. capability maps and application/technology portfolios) and making dependencies and fields of action transparent – focusing on control and decisions, not on pure documentation You make architecture measurable and controllable via metrics & analytics (e.g. transparency to complexity, dependencies, time-to-market or degree of modernization) You prepare strategic technology and investment decisions and accompany them in close cooperation with management and relevant stakeholders You work with domain and solution architect: inside and ensure coherence across all levels You actively develop the EAM methodology, tools and community

Features that make you feel: Multiannual experience as Enterprise Architect or in a comparable strategic architectural role Clear EA Focus – no pure solution/data architecture and no architecture as a pure documentation task Ability to translate business goals into structured architecture decisions Knowledge of EAM methods (e.g. TOGAF, ArchiMate) and application/technology portfolio management Experience in handling complex, distributed system landscapes and transformations Current architectural understanding with product orientation, platform approaches and modern organizational models (e.g. Team Topologies) Strong in communication and moderation at different levels, also in management context Experience with EAM tools and structured decision preparation
