For the COO business unit we are looking for a Expert*in Financial Management Location: Berlin - Heilbronner Straße Application deadline: 15.04.2026 Employment: Full time (part time is possible in principle) Date of entry: immediately Call number: C3-004-2026 Remuneration: E14 TV EntgO-DRV Activity The pension, pension and insurance divisions, headed by the Chief Operation Officer (COO), handle insurance matters, contribution payments and pensions, and are also responsible for the Central Pension Fund. Designed for increasing digitization, new legal regulations, demographic change and flexibilisation of the working world, we fulfill our legal order service-oriented, customer-centric and in high quality. The newly established COO office plays a central role in the strategic management of the business unit. It coordinates overarching topics for the seven service departments, works closely with IT and service areas and is a central interface to the Executive Board and to other stakeholders.

In this position, you take on the highlighted responsibility for budgeting and management and thus for the financial viability of the entire business area. This includes the following tasks: Development and establishment of uniform planning and reporting structures in the COO sector, incl. Building a KPI-based financial and reporting system Perception of financial sovereignty for all projects of the COO division, including risk analyses and cost-effectiveness controls of project portfolios Initiation and implementation of optimization measures in financial management, including identification of savings potentials, building a strategic multi-annual planning, further development of control instruments and monitoring of external factors on the financial situation of the business unit Development of financial decision bases and opinions for overarching bodies and external authorities (e.g. financial board, board, ministries) as well as support for strategic initiatives through economic and feasibility analyses Link to the central financial and controlling units of the DRV Bund, including the Escalation Department for Trans-departmental Financial Topics, Advising the Heads of Division and Representing the Division in Bodies and Negotiations

Successfully completed scientific higher education (Master/Diplom-Univ./ 2. State Exams) of economic, economic or administrative sciences or in a comparable field Multiannual current professional experience (at least 2 years) in strategic financial planning, including financial and project controlling, as well as a correspondingly high level of consulting at upper management level Funded knowledge in federal budget law, administrative regulations and internal financial regulations Routinized handling of SAP/ERP systems and reporting and controlling instruments
