As a project manager*in building and infrastructure, you take full responsibility for the project at the site of AbbVie in Ludwigshafen during independent planning over all phases of the project. Their area of responsibility begins with the pre-planning of engineering investment projects and extends up to the handover to the customer, including the commercial conclusion, with the maintenance of the cost framework, quality and appointment requirements at R&D. Coordination, control and monitoring of the project team from specialist engineers and architects as well as professionally qualified suppliers. Takeover of the contractor's representation before external planners and executive companies as well as the interface coordination internally and to the other trade unions. Responsibility of the local specialist management and assembly monitoring. Processing the contract management of planning services and technical deliveries together with the technical purchasing. Systematic and effective project control with regard to dates, costs and technical as well as organizational aspects through regular progress reports (Project Status Reports) also in English. Ensuring close cooperation with all relevant stakeholders (EHS, Quality Assurance, Finance, Controlling, Purchasing, Engineering, Facility Management, Factory Safety, Factory Fire Brigade) and Single Point of Contact for all project concerns in the subproject. Own-responsible and timely escalation and appropriate introduction of corrective measures in case of deviations in the course of the project. Organisation of the decrease of construction structures to customers, suppliers, experts and authorities as well as the timely and cost-neutral elimination of possible defects. Ensure the implementation of all relevant regulatory requirements, environmental and occupational safety regulations, as well as the relevant AbbVie guidelines.

How to make a difference Successfully completed studies in civil engineering or architecture At least 10 years of professional experience as project manager in comparable major projects, preferably in the laboratory building or hospital technology sector or the like. Extensive experience in handling technical investment projects and knowledge of the current standards and relevant regulations of VOB and HOAI. High level of initiative, resilience, flexibility, reliability, organisational and enforcement capacity as well as project management experience. Excellent communication and team skills in dealing with larger organisations and customers. Experience in interface management for coordination and integration of internal and external specialist departments in complex projects. SAP and MS project knowledge desirable German and English language skills in word and writing.
